Ramadan Duas: Suhoor and Iftar

Suhoor intention dua

Arabic: نَوَيْتُ أَنْ أَصُومَ صَوْمَ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ مِنَ الْفَجْرِ إِلَى الْمَغْرِبِ، خَالِصًا لِلهِ تَعَالَى أَللهُ أَكْبَرُ

Transliteration: Navaytu an asuuma sowma shahri romazona minal-fajri ilal-mag‘ribi, xolison lillahi ta’aalaa, Allohu akbar.

Meaning: “I intend to keep the Ramadan fast sincerely for Allah from dawn until sunset. Allah is the Greatest.”

Iftar dua

Arabic: اَللَّهُمَّ لَكَ صُمْتُ وَ بِكَ آمَنْتُ وَ عَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَ عَلَى رِزْقِكَ أَفْتَرْتُ، فَغْفِرْلِى مَا قَدَّمْتُ وَ مَا أَخَّرْتُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ

Transliteration: Alloohumma laka sumtu wa bika aamantu wa a’layka tavakkaltu wa alaa rizqika aftortu, fag‘firliy maa qoddamtu wa maa axxortu.

Meaning: “O Allah, I fasted for You, believed in You, relied upon You, and I break my fast with Your provision. Forgive my previous and later sins.”
